Burn Permits

Burn permits are required for burning on all non-agricultural properties.  Burn permits currently are FREE and valid for one calendar year. Fill out the application and email it to firemarshal@upperpinefpd.org with the subject Burn Permit Request.

How to Safely Construct and Burn Piles

Special Use Permit

This permit must be submitted for events or other special uses such as:

  • Carnival or Fair
  • Pyrotechnic Special Effects (show must use licensed Pyrotechnician per Section 33 IFC)
  • Temporary Tent/Canopy
  • Hazardous materials
  • Explosives
  • Other

This permit requires a signature from authorized UPRFPD personnel. Once you have submitted your application, you will be notified by email, phone, or in person whether your permit application has been approved and advised as to where you may pick up your signed permit. In some instances, your proposed location may need to be inspected before permit approval.
